The injuries for whom are treated more than 50 turtles each year are of 3 types :

Fishing injuries (amputations due to fishing gear entanglement, ingestion of hooks...).

Deliberated human injuries imposed by fishermen (head injuries).

Accidental injuries (collision with speedboats, ingestion of plastic bags... all the problems relative to the pollution, in general).
Once rehabilitated , they are released back to the sea either from the beach (Adults) or by boat (Juveniles or if they are missing a flipper).
